Spring Fever At 10,000 ft.

Spring Fever 101

Spring is waking up but not so much up here at 10,000ft.  It is one of my most favorite times of the year because summer is coming but it also can be the hardest.  The hardest part is that we get little glimpses of spring with warmer days than we get tons of snow.  It's this crazy tug of war between Winter and Spring.  One tug of war that I wish I could join in on the side of Spring.

As I eagerly await for the snow to melt; I begin my gardening planning and prep.  This year I am excited to finally get a year round greenhouse!  I hope to grow food that normally can't grow at this high altitude in the greenhouse.  I want to make my Papa's homemade salsa with the yummy tomatoes and other veggies that I hope to be successful at growing.  We shall see!

I have two beautiful girls that love to help me in the garden.  Next weekend I will be needing their help to start setting up the greenhouse inside.

One thing I love about gardening is the time I get to spend with the girls and my husband.  Nick and I have always dreamed of having a farm one day but until then we will make this little slice of mountain land a mini farm.

After finishing my Breast Cancer treatment we felt this desire to pursue our dream of owning a farm.  We are now a year out and still no farm but that doesn't mean that God is holding back on us.  It's just us being patient for His perfect timing.

Gardening is one of the places that I learn so much more about who God is.
